Corns and Callus

February 6th, 2013

Corns and callus (hard skin) develop on the feet in response to pressure caused by prolonged standing and friction from ground-reaction forces with every step we take. They can cause stabbing or burning pain and may affect an individual’s gait.

Successful management of the corns and callus requires their removal, coupled with treatment to maintain the integrity of the skin. If this is a problem for you, call our podiatrist/chiropodist, Hilary Rimmer at The Olney Treatment Rooms on 01234 240444.
