Athlete's Foot

April 10th, 2013

Athlete’s Foot is a fungal infection most commonly found between the toes in adults which can appear with inflammation, split, peeling skin, and at its most severe, with painful bleeding and blistering. Athlete’s Foot thrives in warm, moist, dark conditions such as in socks and shoes. The condition is extremely infectious so anyone can pick it up, especially people sharing changing areas and showers. 70% of people don’t treat the condition properly so it persists longer than necessary. For further advice, call our podiatrist/chiropodist, Hilary Rimmer at The Olney Treatment Rooms on 01234 240444 who will provide help in developing a treatment plan to alleviate the symptoms.
