New for 2008 is a minimal-cost toenail-cutting clinic to be held on the first Monday morning of each month initially. For a charge of only £10, our Podiatrist/Chiropodist will cut your toenails and file them using sterile instruments and also provide a professional overview of your foot health. Appointments will last for 10 minutes.
Please note that this service is for people who do not need any other foot care but simply find that getting down to cut their toenails is becoming difficult. Patients that have corns, calluses, thick, damaged or distorted nails that need treating, will require a normal Chiropody appointment.
New patients will first need an assessment including taking a medical history. assessing footwear etc. which may require a longer appointment. This is a requirement of our regulatory body, the Health Professions Council, which replaced State Registration.
This service is designed for our senior citizens in response to the reduction in NHS Podiatry services and provides an affordable alternative. However, this service is also available to people of all ages who, for one reason or another, have difficulty getting down to their feet.
